At De Havilland, we believe that art provides our children with opportunities to develop and extend skills and an opportunity to express their individual interests, thoughts and ideas. Art embodies some of the highest forms of human creativity and we aim to inspire our children in the subject by ensuring art plays a prominent role in learning environments and communal areas across our school.

As pupils progress through our school, we aim to offer them opportunities to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of art. They are also taught how art both reflects and shapes our history, and contributes to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
