A warm welcome back to the second part of the Autumn term. It was lovely to be able to meet so many parents and carers in person before the half term break and we are looking forward to working together again this term to support the children’s learning. They have settled brilliantly in Year 1; we have been very impressed with how well they have adapted to the new routines and expectations.
We would like to thank all our families for the support given in completing home learning. We would like to also request that parents/carers write in their child’s reading record every time reading is completed at home. This may be reading of school reading books but can also be any other kinds of reading, such as storybooks from home, reading of instructions for games or even online phonics activities. All reading counts! It has been proven that children who read regularly make stronger progress across the curriculum. We thank you in advance for reading with your child at home daily.
