‘Sustainable Superheores’

Did you know 27,000 trees are cut down each day so we can have Toilet Paper? Or that if people switched to energy efficient light bulbs the world would save over 100 billion pounds annually?

Some children in Key Stage Two were welcomed back to school in March with a challenge! Their challenge (if they chose to accept it!) was to write a story about a sustainability superhero whose mission was to help us mere mortals better look after our planet. The children worked hard to plan out their stories and then publish them. These were then sent off to Sky Studios Elstree as part of a competition run by Sky. The winners are going to have their story turned into a short animation for the Sky website so we are keeping our fingers crossed that we have been successful!
